- Core Skills of Leadership – Learn the supervisor’s role, the tenets of professionalism, and the different leadership styles.
- Communicating Like a Leader – Learn the basics of verbal and nonverbal communication, lead meetings and conduct effective presentations, and bridge the generation gap.
- Conflict Resolution – Identify the causes of conflicts and learn the different strategies for conflict resolution as well as how to balance the concerns of outcomes and relationships
- Coaching & Managing Performance Fundamentals – Study the fundamentals of setting expectations, recognizing achievements, and offering positive reinforcement: practice counseling employees, documenting performance, and problem-solving techniques.
- Motivating Performance – Learn how to set goals, teach and train employees and communicate results. Identify continuous improvement styles.
About Foundations of Leadership Development
- Course Length: 8 Hours per course- 40 Hours for series
- Can be held at any JSCC Location or other offsite training location if it meets the room set-up requirements.
